Hilton to Open Dual-Branded Property in Former Long Island City Supermarket
A former supermarket located in Long Island City, New York, will become the site of a dual-branded Hilton property in 2018.
The five-story structure will consist of a Homewood Suites and a Hampton Inn. The Homewood Suites property, which is one of Hilton’s long-stay brands, will comprise 102 guestrooms, while the Hampton Inn will have some 189 rooms.

Hilton Hotels and Resorts announced the introduction of a new brand, the Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
The Tapestry brand is Hilton’s 14th.
The hotelier said it created the new brand for travelers who want an “independent hotel experience” while having “the consistency and reassurance they expect from Hilton.”

New Curio Collection Hotel Opens in Doha
Hilton Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of a new Curio Collection hotel in Doha, Qatar. The AlRayyan Doha, Curio Collection by Hilton is the first of the brand’s properties to be located in the Middle East.
The hotel is connected to the Mall of Qatar, a shopping center that opened in December. Each of the property’s 201 guestrooms and suites offers floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as walk-in showers.
