American Airlines announced plans to offer Covid-19 testing to passengers on flights to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.

The airline will offer customers flying to these locations from anywhere in the United States, an at-home test, Let’sGetChecked, as their required pre-flight test.

In addition to the at-home testing option, passengers traveling from American’s hub at Miami International Airport to these destinations, with the addition of Colombia, can also now use the VeriFly app, a mobile wallet that tracks test results and coronavirus documentation, to confirm testing. Those who use the app will have access to an expedited check-in lane in the North Terminal of the Miami International Airport. The app may be used in lieu of manual documentation, which can take fifteen minutes or more to be checked.

With the addition of these new locations, the Fort-Worth based carrier will now offer pre-flight Covid-19 testing to a tota of ten countries.
