Seattle’s Public Market

Alaska Airlines said Wednesday it would offer travelers heading to Hawaii access to a pre-flight testing program.

The Seattle-based airline will offer the testing at pop-up clinics that will be run by Carbon Health, a tech-focused healthcare provider. The clinics will be at locations across the West Coast. The first one will open in downtown Seattle on October 12, 2020.

“By assisting our guests with convenient testing options as they prepare for their trip, we’re working together to help keep each other, and Hawaii, safe,” said Sangita Woerner, the airline’s senior vice president of guest experience.

Carbon Health will utilize the Abbott ID Now rapid Covid-19 test, which meets the state of Hawaii’s guidelines for visitor testing.

Test results will be available within two hours and the cost of the test will be $135.
