JAL to Offer New Vegetarian Dishes on International Routes

Japan Airlines announced that it will offer new vegetarian meal options on select international routes beginning June 1.  The dishes will, for the most part, be available in all classes of service.

New offerings will include hors d’oeuvres such as stuffed tomato, couscous, bean simmered with tomato, and potato salad, with main dishes such as soy Tatsuta-Age soy meat with tomato sauce.  Desserts will include items such as brownie with raspberry sauce.

The carrier will offer the new choices in all classes on flights from Tokyo Narita to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Paris, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

The meals will also be available in all classes on JAL flights from Tokyo Haneda to London, Paris, Honolulu, San Francisco, Bangkok, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei Songshan Airport, as well as in business class only to Seoul’s Gimpo International Airport,
