Alaska Airlines announced new daily service between Seattle, Washington, and New Orleans, Louisiana.  The service follows the airline’s new daily seasonal flights between Portland, Oregon and Kalispell, Montana, which began earlier this week.

Flights from Seattle depart at 10:15 a.m. and arrive in New Orleans at 5:00 p.m.  Westbound flights depart New Orleans at 5:55 p.m., and arrive in Seattle at 8:50 p.m.

In addition to the new service, Alaska plans to begin flights between Seattle and Tampa, Florida, later this month.  The carrier also said it will launch service from Seattle to Baltimore, Detroit, and Albuquerque in September, as well as service to Cancun, Mexico in November.

Along with the new flights from Seattle this year, Alaska Airlines is expected to add an additional 21 daily flights from its hub at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport by next spring, including new daily service to Boise, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Fairbanks, Palm Springs, and Sacramento.
