United to Open New Concourse at Boston Logan

United Airlines announced it will open a new 10-gate concourse at Terminal B of Boston’s Logan International Airport on April 30.  The new concourse cost more than $170 million.

The new concourse will be 97,000 square feet (29,566 square meters) in size, and will include a new ticketing lobby, improved security checkpoints, and a United Club lounge for the airline’s top-tier passengers.

The airline’s club lounge will be 8,000 square feet (743 square meters) and will offer complimentary Wi-Fi, power outlets, and a selection of snacks and beverages.

The concourse will also feature a variety of self-service technologies designed to expedite the air travel process for passengers, including self-tagging baggage kiosks and automated boarding gates. A new customer service center will aso be located in the concourse.
