Scandinavian Airlines announced it will launch new nonstop service between Houston and Stavanger, Norway, on August 20.  The service will operate six days a week, using Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

Flights will depart from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport at 9:35 p.m. every day except Saturdays, and will arrive in Stavanger at 2:20 p.m. the next day.  Flights from Stavanger to Houston will operate every day except for Saturdays as well, departing at 4:00 p.m., and arriving at 7:40 p.m. the same day.

Once the service commences, Scandinavian Airlines will be the only airline to offer nonstop service between Houston and Scandinavia.

Scandinavian Airlines, the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, was founded on August 1, 1946, and is largest carrier in the region.  The airline currently serves 90 destinations worldwide.
