The Palladium Hotel Group announced that the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel has completed a major renovation and expansion project and will reopen in May.

A major part of the expansion was the addition of the Ushuaïa Tower, which will add 181 rooms to the property bringing the total to 417 rooms and suites.  The hotel has added several different suites including the Pioneer suites (outfitted with stereo equipment),to the Fashion Victim suite, (decorated with the latest trends in glamour and fashion).

The new suites have private terraces and indoor Jacuzzis.  Several hotel rooms look out onto large outdoor entertainment venue, where DJs perform at events four days a week.

The hotel has several restaurants on the property.  These include Minami, a Japanese restaurant, the Ushuaïa Beach Club, which serves a variety of fresh and local fish, and the new Infinity restaurant, located next to the aptly named Infinity pool, which serves drinks and lighter fare on the beach or poolside.  A new restaurant, the Montauk Steakhouse, will offer a traditional menu and an extensive wine list. The Last Call Bar, located in the entrance lobby, serves cocktails.

Guests can link their room and payment information to their fingerprint, essentially allowing them to make purchases throughout the property with a scan of their finger. The hotel also offers Facebook check-in stations located about the property; a guest may link his Facebook account to a bracelet, and simply touch the bracelet to a check-in station to broadcast his activity to the world.  The hotel says it is the first to implement such technologies.

A large 4780 square foot (444 square meter) event space can allows for gatherings of up to 200 people. This area can also be divided into four equal spaces. In addition, four smaller meeting rooms are available.
