DSC_0527The Jumeirah Group announced plans for the reopening of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the hotelier’s first property, which opened in Dubai in 1997. The property’s doors will reopen to guests on October 19, 2018.

The wave-shaped hotel stands next to the sail-shaped Burj al Aarb, the third highest hotel in the world.

The Jumeirah Beach Hotel was closed five months ago for a top-to-bottom renovation that entailed a new and more airy lobby, reimagined guest rooms, and new and refreshed dining options.

The lobby features three kinetic art works suspended from the ceiling that mimic the movements of underwater flora, the glistening of light on water, and the glow of the sun.

The guest rooms were refurbished with light woods and complementary earth tones, and feature a separate bathtub and walk-in shower. All rooms feature ocean views and some offer private terraces.

The hotel’s dining options include Kitchen Connection, which offers nine interactive cooking stations and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the Pearl Lounge, which offers a pearl-inspired afternoon tea as well as sandwiches with views of the Arabian Gulf. Other dining establishments include D&A, La Parilla, Villa Beach, Beachcombers, and Ocean Blue.
