Southwest Starts Pittsburgh-Houston Hobby Service

Southwest Airlines launched non-stop flights from Pittsburgh International Airport to Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport.

The new service is the first ever non-stop between the two airports.

Southwest will operate the flight on a daily basis.  From Monday through Friday, it will depart Pittsburgh at 11:50 a.m. and arrive in Houston at 2 p.m.  On Saturday and Sunday it will depart at 9:15 a.m. and 12 noon respectively.

Flights from Houston will depart at 1:35 p.m. every day except Saturday and arrive in Pittsburgh at 5:35 p.m.  On Saturday, the flight will depart at 10:35 a.m. and arrive at 2:29 p.m.

Southwest along with its AirTran Airways subsidiary currently operate 31 daily flights to Pittsburgh with routes to Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago (Midway), Denver, Orlando, Phoenix, and Tampa, among other destinations.
