American Airlines said it will discontinue its non-stop service linking New York City and San Juan, Puerto Rico, in late summer.
The flights have connected John F. Kennedy International Airport and Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport since the 1970s. American acquired the route when it absorbed Trans Caribbean Airlines in 1971. San Juan was Trans Caribbean’s main hub.
