Apple only released the new iPhone just over two months ago, and has since released multiple security updates to its latest mobile operating system.

On Thursday, Apple released iOS 17.1.2 to provide what the Cupertino-based company called important security fixes.

Apple revealed in a support document for the update that “[P]rocessing web content may disclose sensitive information.”

The company said that it is “aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited against versions of iOS before iOS 16.7.1.”

In addition, the company said that “[P]rocessing web content may lead to arbitrary code execution.”

Once again, Apple said that it  aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited against versions of iOS before iOS 16.7.1.

The latest  iOS update is available for immediately.

The update can be installed via the Settings app under General → Software Update if you proceeded to set up the device as new and transfer data later.

Apple is known to be working on a major iOS 17.2 update that should be released before the end of 2023.

The iOS 17.2 update includes the Journal app, changes to the Apple TV app, and new Weather widgets, among other new features.
