JetBlue Airways said it had expanded its coronavirus testing program for passengers traveling to Aruba, working with the Aruban government, CommonPass, and the airline’s testing partner.

The action will allow travelers to take an at-home coronavirus test using Vault supervised PCR testing and the results will be shared with CommonPass.  Upon arrival, the passenger can provide Aruban authorities with a scannable CommonPass QR code that will satisfy entrant requirements.

“Aruba is proud to be the first government to participate in CommonPass to support the industry’s efforts to ensure international travel can occur safely,” said Danguillaume Oduber, the country’s minister of tourism and public health.

CommonPass, which offers a Health Pass that displays verified information as Covid-19 test results, is a non-profit initiative backed by the World Economic Forum and the Swiss-based foundation, the Commons Project.

JetBlue offers flights to Aruba from both Boston and New York City.

The program will commence in early 2021.
