Delta to Begin New Minneapolis-Rome Route

DSC_4940Delta Air Lines announced it will launch new daily service between Minneapolis and Rome on May 26, 2016.  The service will be operated by Delta in conjunction with the carrier’s three joint venture partners, Air France, KLM, and Alitalia.

Flights are scheduled to depart Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 5:25 p.m. and arrive at Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport at 10:00 a.m. the next day.  From Rome, flights will depart at 11:45 a.m. and arrive in Minneapolis at 3:45 p.m.

Delta will operate the service using Boeing 767-300ER planes.

Rome will be the airline’s fifth long-haul international destination from Minneapolis, after Amsterdam, London, Paris, and Tokyo Narita.  Delta currently serves Rome from New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, and Toronto.
