Air China announced the addition of a third daily flight between Beijing and Los Angeles.  As with the carrier’s two existing flights between the cities, Air China operates the additional service using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The extra flight will depart Beijing Capital International Airport at 12:00 noon and arrive at Los Angeles International Airport at 9:00 p.m.  From Los Angeles, flights will depart at 11:30 a.m. and arrive in Beijing at 3:10 p.m. the following day.

Air China’s 777-300ERs are configured with eight lie-flat seats in first class, 42 lie-flat seats in business class, and 261 seats in economy.  First-class seats are 23” wide, and have a pitch of 80”.

The airline said that it had also relocated its operations from LAX’s Terminal 2 to the newly renovated Tom Bradley International Terminal.

Air China is the only airline to offer non-stop service between Beijing and Los Angeles.  Along with the southern California city, the carrier offers service to six other destinations throughout North America, including New York, Washington Dulles, Houston, San Francisco, Honolulu, and Vancouver.  In addition, the airline plans to launch thrice-weekly service between Beijing and Montreal on September 29.
