Hyatt Hotels announced the appointment of Jim Tierney to the position of senior vice president responsible for development and owner relations for two Hyatt brands.
Mr. Tierney, who will report to Pete Sears, the hotelier’s group president for the Americas, will be responsible for those functions for Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands in North America.

Hyatt to Add 21 Luxury Hotels in Asia Pacific Region by End of 2020
Hyatt Hotels announced plans to open 21 new luxury hotels and resorts in the Asia Pacific region in the next 18 months.
The hotelier will open seven Park Hyatts, six grand Hyatts, six Andaz hotels, and two Alila resorts.

Hyatt to Open Hyatt Regency in Portugal
Hyatt Hotels announced plans on Monday to open a Hyatt Regency hotel in Lisbon.
The property will be the first Hyatt branded hotel in Portugal.
