Starwood to Open Aloft in Cupertino
Starwood plans to open a second Aloft hotel in Silicon Valley next summer. Aloft is Starwood’s new brand and the Aloft Cupertino will be its second in the valley and its third in California.
The new hotel will feature 123 loft-like rooms with high-tech amenities. Starwood also plans to infuse the hotel with a social vibe, as it has done with other Aloft properties.

American Airlines To Cut Chicago-New Delhi, DFW-Burbank Routes
American Airlines will discontinue service from Chicago to New Delhi, India, the airline’s longest route. The last flight from Chicago to New Delhi will be on February 28, 2012; the last flight from India to Chicago will be on March 1.
American has operated this route since 2005 with a three-class Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
American will exit the Burbank market on February 9, ending its Dallas-Fort Worth-Burbank route.
ANA to Launch 787 Dreamliner Routes to San Jose and Seattle
San Jose and Seattle will be the first destinations in the United States to see the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. ANA, the aircraft’s launch carrier, will begin service from Tokyo’s Narita airport to both locations some time in 2012.
ANA will be the only airline operating a San Jose-Tokyo route.
