JetBlue Airways announced plans to offer new service to Miami; Key West; Los Cabos; and Guatemala City, Mexico.

The action marks the first time in the airline’s history that it will operate flights to these destinations.

This comes, the airline said, as part of a larger strategy to add 24 new non-stop routes in the first half of 2021 in an effort aimed at “immediately generating to cash revenue” and “capturing” new traffic where it sees customer demand.

The New York-based airline will launch non-stop service to both Miami and Key West starting February 11, 2020. Miami will be linked to to New York, Newark, Boston, and Los Angeles with 14 flights per day. Key West will be connected to New York and Boston and flights will operate four days a week.

In addition, JetBlue will launch non-stop daily flights linking New York to both Guatemala City and Los Cabos and Los Angeles to Los Cabos. Service to Guatemala City will start April 15, while service to Los Cabos will commence June 17.

The carrier will operate flights to Miami, Los Cabos, and Guatemala City using JetBlue’s Airbus A320 aircraft, with the exception of Los Angeles Mint flights. JetBlue’s will operate those flights on Airbus A321 aircraft. In addition, the New York-based airline will be utilizing their Embraer 190 aircraft for routes to Key West.
