IMG_2587 2Southwest Airlines announced the start of inter-island service from Honolulu on Oahu and Kona on the island of Hawaii on Sunday, along with non-stop service from San Jose to Kona.

The airline previously announced plans to add non-stop service from San Jose to Maui on May 26.

Southwest Airlines launched its first non-stop service to Hawaii in mid March with flights from Oakland, California, to Honolulu.

In May, Southwest said it plans to add service from San Diego and Sacramento to Hawaii. Although the airline did not announce specific city pairs, it said it will serve four destinations, namely Honolulu, Maui, Kauai, and Kona.
