Lufthansa Inaugurates Non-Stop Service to Austin

IMG_2343Lufthansa announced the start of new non-stop service linking Austin, Texas, and Frankfurt, Germany.

The inaugural flight departed Frankfurt Airport at 10:18 a.m. local time on Friday and arrived at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 2:44 p.m. the same day. The return flight departed Austin at 4:44 p.m. on Friday and is scheduled to arrive in Frankfurt at 9:49 a.m. the following day.

The German flag carrier is using Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 42 fully lie-flat seats in business class, 28 recliner seats in premium economy, and 185 seats in coach. Business-class seats are 20.5” in width and extend into a 78” bed. Premium-economy seats are 18” wide and the seat pitch is 38”.

Lufthansa will operate the flight five days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Austin is Lufthansa’s third destination in Texas. The carrier already operates flights to Dallas and Houston
