Southwest to Add New Routes to Hawaii, Add Inter-Island Service
Southwest Airlines, which launched its first non-stop service to Hawaii on Sunday, will add additional non-stop flights in the coming months as well as intra-island service.
The airline’s first flight was from Oakland, California, to Honolulu.
The airline will add non-stop service from Oakland to Maui on April 7 and to Kona on May 12. It will inaugurate service from San Jose to Honolulu on May 5, and add San Jose-Kona and San Jose-Maui on May 12 and May 26 respectively.
In addition, starting on April 28, Southwest will begin to offer inter-island service linking Honolulu to Maui. The airline will add service between Honolulu and Kona on May 12.
