Hyatt Hotels announced on Wednesday the opening of the Grand Hyatt Athens.

The new property offers 309 rooms, a rooftop restaurant and pool with views of the Acropolis, and art from the Museum of Cycladic Art.

Athens is quickly becoming a place “where ancient history sits alongside modern coffee shops and rooftop bars,” said Nikos Trikourakis, the new hotel’s general manager.

The guest rooms will include 38 suites and some will feature views of the city’s skyline and the Acropolis.  The hotel has a Grand Club Lounge for suite and club room guests that offers multiple food and beverage presentations throughout the day.

The hotel is the first Hyatt hotel in the Greek capital and the first Grand Hyatt in the country.
