The marble bathroom had a single sink with ample counter space as well as a soaking tub that doubled as a shower. It was stocked with lovely La Bottega toiletries and lotions. A towel warmer adjacent to the tub was a thoughtful touch.

The sitting area was quite comfortable for watching the telly and even having a few friends over for cocktails.

ROAD WARRIOR SUPPORT

The elegant wooden writing desk was large enough to also be home to a tray with an electric water kettle and tea service without impinging on work space. The hotel provided a complimentary mobile phone that guests could use to place local and long distance calls at no charge (a trend I’ve observed at several properties recently and a pleasant departure from how hotels used to treat in-room phones as major profit centers).

Wi-Fi was fast, complimentary, and available throughout the premises

The Westbury provides two event spaces that can accommodate between ten and 120 people, depending on configuration. Both rooms are, as one would expect, rather elegant and versatile spaces. In addition, the Alyn Williams restaurant offers two private dining rooms: the larger of which seats up to 18 people.

Requests made of the staff, be they by phone or at the concierge desk, were always addressed in a friendly and efficient manner.
