Raleigh Marriott City Center – Hotel Review

After purchasing a cup of coffee at the only Starbucks in downtown Raleigh, I strolled into the lobby of the Raleigh Marriott City Center without missing a step as it is directly connected to the coffee emporium. Guests were lounging on cushioned chairs and couches, some were watching TV.

The lobby offered tables facing floor-to-ceiling windows with views of downtown, a pleasant setting to take in a sunny late spring day.

Cup of coffee in hand, I walked up to the front desk, where check-in formalities were accomplished quickly, and I was off to my room.

THE ROOM

My King room’s bed and cozy chair both faced a flatscreen TV. Night tables were on either side of the bed, and offered outlets and lamps. An additional task light on the bed’s headboard made for convenient nighttime reading.

The bed was comfortable, and only the anticipation of dinner at the hotel’s renowned restaurant could make me give up its cozy embrace.

A sitting area, consisted of the chair and couch in front of a window while the bathroom provided a granite counter with ample room for toiletries and shower amenities.
