New St. Regis Hotel Opens in Malaysia

Starwood Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of the St. Regis Langkawi hotel in the Malaysian archipelago of Langkawi. The property is the first St. Regis hotel located in Malaysia.

The hotel is an all-suite property, with 85 suites and four private villas. Each accommodation has paintings by local artists and offers views of the sea.

The property offers various dining venues, including Kayuputi, which serves Asian cuisine; L’Orangerie, which has a menu featuring French cuisine combined with Asian and Middle Eastern flavors; and Gourmet Deli, which offers homemade breads and pastries. In addition, guests can enjoy cocktails at the St. Regis Bar, sample rare vintage wines at Decanter, and have coffee and tea in the Drawing Room.

The hotel provides over 10,000 square feet (929 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a wedding pavilion and a 3,200-square-foot (297-square-meters) ballroom.

The property’s Iridium Spa is approximately 8,600 square feet (798 square meters), and offers a salon, a pool, a natural salt-water lagoon, and an athletic club, as well as various massages and treatments.
