WestJet Begins Service to Huatulco, Mexico

WestJet announced two new routes, linking Calgary to Huatulco, Mexico and Liberia, Costa Rica.. Calgary to Huatulco flights began on Saturday, while service to Liberia will begin on December 19.

Flights to Huatulco will depart Calgary international Airport at 8:25 a.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays and arrive at Bahías de Huatulco International Airport at 3:07 p.m.  From Huatulco, flights are scheduled to depart at 4 p.m., also on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and arrive back in Calgary at 9:01 p.m.

The new route will be operated using Boeing 737-700 aircraft, equipped with 18 seats in economy plus, and 118 seats in economy.  Economy plus-seats are 17” wide, and have a pitch 36” to 40”.

WestJet will operate its new service to Liberia four times a week, with flights departing at 10:55 p.m. and arriving in Liberia at 6:39 a.m. the next morning.  Flights from Liberia to Calgary will depart at 8 a.m. and arrive at 2:28 p.m.
