Alaska Airlines Begins Loyalty Program Partnership with Hainan Airlines

IMGP4649Alaska Airlines announced that it has added Hainan Airlines as a partner to its Mileage Plan loyalty program.

Beginning July 23, members of Alaska’s Mileage Plan program may earn miles on Hainan Airlines-operated flights, while members of Hainan Airlines’ Fortune Wings Club program will be able to earn miles on Alaska Airlines flights.

In addition, in celebration of the new partnership,  both airlines are offering double miles on flights operated by the other through October 31 of this year.

Alaska Airlines said that Mileage Plan members will be able to redeem miles with Hainan Airlines later this year.  Currently, miles earned on Hainan flights count towards elite status in Alaska’s Mileage Plan program.

The airline said that by this fall, both carriers will extend elite reciprocal benefits to members of each other’s loyalty program.
