New St. Regis Hotel to Open in Mumbai

Starwood announced that it will open a new St. Regis hotel in Mumbai, India in the third quarter of this year.  The St. Regis Mumbai will be the first St. Regis property located in the country.

The 38-story hotel will offer 386 guestrooms, 60 of which will be suites.  The property will host five restaurants, as well as a club lounge and three bars.

Over 55,972 square feet (5,200 square meters) of meeting and event space will be located on the premises, including a 45,208-square-foot (4,200-square-meter) ballroom.  Guests will also have access t a fitness center and pool.

The hotel will be located in the Lower Parel section of Mumbai, less than 30 minutes from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

Starwood currently operates 43 hotels in India.  Along with the St. Regis Mumbai, the company plans to open at least five more properties in the country over the next two years.
