New JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Hotels Open in Macau

Marriott and Ritz-Carlton announced the opening of the JW Marriott Hotel Macau and the Ritz-Carlton, Macau, China.  Both properties are part of the Galaxy Macau, a resort consisting of hotels, restaurants, shopping, casinos, entertainment, and nightlife venues, as well as pools, gardens and an artificial beach.

The JW Marriott Hotel Macau offers 1,015 guestrooms and suites, each with views of the Galaxy Macau’s Grand Resort Deck, which has gardens, a wave pool, and the resort’s artificial beach.  The property provides over 27,986 square feet (2,700 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom and separate meeting rooms.

The hotel has a JW Kids Club, which offers activities for children, as well as a children’s pool.  Guests have access to an outdoor pool as well, in addition to Galaxy Macau’s Grand Resort Deck.

Dining establishments at the hotel include Man Ho, a Chinese restaurant, and Urban Kitchen, an all-day dining venue.

The Ritz-Carlton, Macau is Ritz-Carlton’s first all-suite property, with 254 guest suites, including three villas, all on the top floor of the resort complex.  The hotel has over 9,687 square feet (900 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom.

The property hosts a spa with ten treatment rooms and three couples suites, as well as an outdoor pool with cabanas.  In addition, Ritz Kids offers a program for children to learn and play.

Guests can dine at the hotel’s Lai Heen Cantonese restaurant, as well as the Ritz-Carlton Café, a French brasserie offering seafood and a selection of wines, and the Ritz-Carlton Bar and Lounge, an all-day restaurant offering small dishes and afternoon tea.
