Starwood announced it will open a new Le Méridien hotel in Putrajaya, a city in the Klang Valley region of Malaysia, in 2015. The new hotel, called Le Méridien Putrajaya, will be located close to the city’s commercial district.

The property will have 350 guestrooms, two restaurants, a pool, fitness center, and spa. The hotel will also have 17,545 square feet (1,630 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom.

Guests will have access to a master coffee barista and free entrance to select museums and cultural centers in the surrounding area upon presentation of their key cards.  In addition, large-scale artwork will be displayed throughout the hotel’s public spaces.

Le Méridien Putrajaya will be located within walking distance of many shopping and dining venues, including the IOI City Mall, which is slated to open later this year.

Starwood currently operates nearly 1,200 properties in 100 countries worldwide. The new hotel will be the third Le Méridien brand establishment to open in Malaysia, after Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur and Le Mériden Kota Kinabalu.
