Aeromexico to Launch Mexico City-Rio de Janeiro Service

Aeromexico announced it will begin new nonstop service between Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro on June 29.  Flights will operate four times a week, using Boeing 767 aircraft.

From Mexico City, flights will depart at 6:40 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arrive in Rio de Janeiro at 6:20 a.m. the next day.  Flights from Rio de Janeiro will depart at 7:55 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive in Mexico City at 5:05 p.m.

The Boeing 767s are configured with 171 seats, including 30 lie-flat seats in premier business class.  Seats in premier business are 17” wide, with a pitch of 62”.

Rio de Janeiro will be the airline’s second destination in Brazil, and its 13th in Latin America.
