US Airways, which merged with American Airlines in December, announced it will add five nonstop flights between Seattle and Newark for this year’s Super Bowl, set to be held on February 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.  Two of the flights will be Newark-bound, while the remaining three will return to the Northwestern city the day after the game.

The flights from Seattle to Newark will depart Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on January 31 at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and will arrive at Newark Liberty International Airport at 4:07 p.m. and 6:07 p.m., respectively.

The three flights from Newark to Seattle will depart at 8:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. on February 1, and will arrive at 11:35 a.m., 3:35 p.m., and 4:35 p.m.  All flights will operate using Airbus A321 aircraft, equipped with 187 seats.
