GOL Lineas Aereos and Delta have announced the alignment of the two carriers’ loyalty programs, Smiles and SkyMiles.  Effective immediately, members of either program can earn benefits on each of the other airline’s flights.

Smiles Diamond members will receive priority check-in and boarding when traveling on Delta flights, in addition to having access to Delta Sky Clubs in Detroit, Atlanta, and New York’s JFK.

Delta Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Elite members will also receive priority check-in and boarding when flying on GOL, and will have access to VIP rooms at São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport, and Rio de Janeiro’s Galeao International Airport.

Established in 2000, GOL Lineas Aereos is a low-cost Brazilian airline operating mainly out of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.  Delta Air Lines, operating over 5,000 flights a day, has its main hub at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
