Hyatt Announces New Hotel in China’s Shandong Province

Bildschirmfoto 2013-01-15 um 17.03Hyatt has announced the opening of the Hyatt Regency Qingdao in China’s Shandong province.  Located on the Shandong Peninsula in the Yellow Sea, the hotel is the first Hyatt Regency property in the region.

The hotel includes 439 guestrooms, 25 of which are suites.  Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows and 42″ flat-screen LED TVs, as well as high-speed wireless Internet access.

At 4,520 square feet (420 square meters), the Chairman Suite includes a kitchen, bar, gym, massage room, and master bedroom, as well as a rooftop terrace.  There is also the Presidential Suite, which, at 1,808 square feet (168 square meters), also includes a terrace.

The hotel’s restaurant, Dong Hai 88, is set in a dining room that emphasizes the fishing heritage of the city, with wave-like wood ceilings and fishtail lanterns, while ten dining suites offer private meals.  The menu features authentic northern Chinese cuisine and a large selection of global wines, as well as an open dessert kitchen.  There is also Market Cafe, an all-day buffet restaurant with ocean-front dining which offers seasonal world cuisine, and Bay Lounge, located in the hotel lobby.

The hotel also features 19,805 square feet (1,840 square meters) of meeting and event space, including an outdoor terrace.  There is also a spa, which offers eight private suites and four reflexology rooms, as well as a fitness center, which includes an indoor pool with a floating marble whirlpool.
