American’s US Airways Unit to Launch Daytime London-Philly Route

American Airlines announced plans to operate a daytime flight linking Philadelphia and London next spring.  The flight will be operated by its US Airway subsidiary.
Flights will depart Philadelphia International Airport at 9:55 a.m. and arrive at London Heathrow at 10:10 p.m.  Flights from London will depart at 8:20 a.m. and arrive in Philadelphia at 11:35 a.m.
American will operate the flight using Boeing 757-200 aircraft.

American Airlines continues to fine-tune its first-class domestic service and announced enhancements as well as changes to meal windows to the current offerings on Friday for both American and US Airways.

American Airlines, US Airways Flight Attendants Reject Tentative Agreement

American Airlines and US Airways flight attendants rejected the tentative agreement on a new joint collective bargaining agreement in a close vote.
The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, the union that represents both American Airlines and US Airways cabin crew, announced the results of the vote Sunday morning.
The vote was 8,180 in favor and 8,196 against.  Almost 8,000 flight attendants, or one third of the membership, did not cast a vote.

American Airlines announced changes to its operations at Los Angeles International Airport effective Thursday.
All American Airlines flights operated by US Airways have moved to Terminal 6 from Terminal 3.  This includes ticketing, check-in, gates, baggage services, and customer service.  US Airways check-in counters are located on Level 2 of the terminal and flights will operate out of gates 60, 61, 62, and 63.

American Airlines, which merged with US Airways late last year, announced it will combine the two airlines’ frequent flyer programs in the second quarter of 2015. The combined program will retain the AAdvantage name, as had been previously announced.
