New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has mandated that all New York City employees who have not yet been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus must wear face masks indoors.  The policy, which goes into effect on August 2, requires those who wish to go without a mask to provide “documented proof” of having received a coronavirus vaccine.

The State Department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States issued their highest warnings against travel to the United Kingdom amidst a rising number of coronavirus cases fueled by the India, or Delta, variant.

Coronavirus News Update – July 12: Infections Rise in 42 States, Australia Extends Restrictions

In a strong indication that the coronavirus pandemic is far from over in the United States, 42 states reported an increase in infections over the past two weeks.  Only Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Maine, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and West Virginia saw a decline in cases over the seven-day period that ended Saturday. Delta, Virgin to Return to T3 as Heathrow Reopens Second Runway

London’s Heathrow Airport will reopen Terminal 3 as well as its second runway as it prepares for a surge in air travel with the reopening of the European Union to visitors with vaccinated status.
The reopening means that both Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic Airways will return to T3 on or about July 15.  The runway resumed operations on Monday.
