In New Contest, United Airlines Will Offer Year of Free Travel to Vaccinated Frequent Flyers

United Airlines Monday announced it would offer members of its MileagePlus frequent-flyer program the opportunity to win a year of free travel among other prizes in support of U.S coronavirus vaccination programs.
The “Your Shot to Fly” contest is open to members who have already been inoculated.
“We’re excited to give people one more reason to get vaccinated,” said United CEO Scott Kirby.

United Airlines said it plans to operate 80% of its U.S. schedule in July as compared to the same month in 2019.  Compared to June 2021, it will increase its domestic network by 17%.
The Chicago-based carrier is resuming discontinued flights and adding new routes.

United Airlines announced that it will introduce new drinks and food selections in June.
The carrier will debut new beverages on most of its flights over two hours on June 1. On June 15, the carrier will begin to offer an updated food menu on flights over 1,500 miles and hub-to-hub flights more than 800 miles or over two hours.
