Both Delta Air Lines and United Airlines announced updated versions of their iOS smartphone apps in recent days.
Delta unveiled version 5.16 of the app and made the Today Mode Boarding and Departure Time tile easier to read by increasing the speed of the rotation.

United Airlines Posts $646 Million Loss, Warns Omicron Will Delay Pandemic Recovery

United Airlines announced financial results for the fourth quarter of 2021.
The Chicago-based carrier posted a net loss of $646 million, compared with a $641 million profit in the same period of 2019 but a far smaller loss than the $1.9 billion it lost in Q4 2020.

United Airlines took an equity stake in ZeroAvia, a company that is focused on hydrogen-electric solutions for the aviation industry, and said it expects to purchase up to 100 of the company’s new zero-emission, 100% hydrogen-electric engines for its regional-aircraft fleet.

United Airlines Adds Nike CFO to Board

United Airlines announced the appointment of Matthew Friend to the company’s board of directors.
Mr. Friend is Nike’s chief financial officer and has been with the company since January 2011 when he joined as vice president of corporate strategy.  Prior to Nike, he served as a senior vice president at Goldman Sachs and an analyst at Morgan Stanley.
