United Airlines First U.S. Carrier to Order Boom Overture Supersonic Plane

United Airlines announced a deal to buy 15 Overture supersonic aircraft from Boom Technology, an upstart in the airplane manufacturing business.
The deal, which includes options for 35 more, is contingent on the aircraft meeting United’s safety, operating, and sustainability requirements, United said in a statement.  The aircraft has yet to be built but it is scheduled to roll out in 2025 and go into commercial service in 2026, according to …

United Airlines Monday announced it would offer members of its MileagePlus frequent-flyer program the opportunity to win a year of free travel among other prizes in support of U.S coronavirus vaccination programs.

United Airlines said it plans to operate 80% of its U.S. schedule in July as compared to the same month in 2019.  Compared to June 2021, it will increase its domestic network by 17%.

United Airlines announced that it will introduce new drinks and food selections in June.
