Marriott International announced it would offer members of its Bonvoy guest loyalty program a “head start” on earning a higher-level elite status and said it would offer most of its properties at off-peak rates into July.

Marriott International said that it has reopened all of its hotels in China and that it is seeing a recovery in business travel.
The world’s largest hotel company has 350 properties across China.

Marriott Profit Plunges 92% as Bookings, Revenue per Room Fall Precipitously

Marriott International announced financial results for first quarter of 2020.
The hotelier reported that bookings plunged as the result of coronavirus-led government lockdowns that closed 25% of its properties.

Marriott International will get acash infusion of $920 million under the terms of amended co-branded credit card agreements with American Express and JPMorgan Chase & Co., the hotelier said.
