Delta and Virgin Atlantic Announce New Schedule for London, More Flights to Depart from Heathrow T3

Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic Airways announced a new schedule for many of their joint-venture flights.  The new schedule is slated to take effect on March 30, 2014.

Transaero Airlines announced the addition of a first class cabin, Imperial class, on Boeing 737-800 aircraft operating on certain medium-haul routes from Moscow.  Previously, the airline’s Imperial class was only available on long-haul routes.

Four people have been reported killed as a major storm, dubbed the St. Jude storm in the U.K. and Christian on the continent, moved through Britain, the Netherlands, and parts of France Monday.
The BBC reported that the highest wind gust was 99 mph (159 km/h) on the Isle of Wight and gusts of 75 mph (129 km/h) hit the U.K. mainland.

Norwegian Air Shuttle announced it will launch three new routes to the U.S. next summer, between London Gatwick and Los Angeles, New York, and Fort Lauderdale.  In addition, the airline will also launch five new European routes in 2014, as well as increase its frequencies on existing ones.

Royal Brunei Airlines Takes Delivery of First Dreamliner

Royal Brunei Airlines, the national flag carrier for the Sultanate of Brunei, announced that it took delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner.  The airline is the first carrier in Southeast Asia to operate a Dreamliner.
Royal Brunei Airlines’ 787 is expected to begin service to Singapore on October 18.  Long-haul service to London via Dubai is expected to begin on December 1.
