Hertz announced the opening of 17 new car rental outets across the United States, a move that the company says should increase customer access to its services in off-airport locations.

Alaska Airlines announced it plans to add 27 new daily flights out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport by next spring, including six by the end of this year.  The additional flights will represent an 11% increase in daily departures for the airline from Seattle.

Passenger Traffic at Los Angeles Airport Up 6% in Q1

Los Angeles International Airport announced operational results for the first quarter of 2014.
Total passenger traffic at the airport increased nearly 6% in Q1 year-over-year.  International passenger volume was 4.3 million, up 7.5% from 4 million in Q1 2013, while domestic traffic rose 5% to 11.6 million.
