United Announces Domestic Routes for New Dreamliners

United Airlines announced the first routes for its new Boeing 787 Dreamliners.  The initial routes are domestic and the new planes will start flying in November of 2012 from United’s Houston hub.  Destinations will include Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington (Dulles).
These domestic routes will precede United’s 787’s previously-announced international routes, LINK , which are set to begin in December and January.

Australian flag carrier Qantas has cancelled its initial Dreamliner order and taken a number of measures to restructure and ensure long-term viability. Boeing has announced that Xiamen Airlines has agreed to purchase 40 Next-Generation 737-800 aircraft. The $3.5 billion deal is pending Chinese government approval.
