WestJet Reports Record Q2 Profit
WestJet Airlines announced financial results for the second quarter of 2014.
The carrier reported a record profit of 51.8 million Canadian dollars ($47.9 million) in the second quarter, a year-over-year increase of 15.9% from C$44.7 million in Q2 of 2013.
Revenue in the second quarter also increased, up 10.3% to C$930.3 million from C$843.7 million in the same period last year.

Aeromexico announced financial results for the second quarter of 2014. The airline’s operating profit for the period was 202 million Mexican pesos ($15.540 million), a year-over-year decline of 73% from 747 million pesos in the second quarter of 2013.

JetBlue Reports Substantial Rise in Q2 Profit
JetBlue Airways announced financial results for the second quarter of 2014. The airline’s profit in the second quarter was $230 million, a year-over-year increase of $194 million during the second quarter of 2013.

United-Continental Holdings announced financial results for the second quarter of 2014.
The Chicago-based airline reported a profit of $919 million, a 51% year-over-year increase. Including special charges, net profit was up 68% at $789 million, compared with $469 in Q2 2013. Revenue was up 3.3% to $10.33 billion.

American Airlines Reports Record Profit in Q2
American Airlines Group announced financial results for the second quarter of 2014.
The airline reported a profit of $864 million, compared with $220 million in the same period in 2013. On a combined basis, earnings in 2013 were $507 million. Total revenue was up 76% to $11.36 billion.
American said it took $592 million in special charges relating to merger integration expenses and bankruptcy-related settlement obligations.

Delta Air Lines announced financial results for the second quarter of 2014. The Atlanta-based airline reported a profit of $801 million, a year-over-year increase of 17%, or $116 million, from $685 million in the second quarter of 2013.
