Delta Reports Record Loss of $12.4 Billion in 2020

Delta Air Lines announced financial results for fourth quarter of 2020 as well as for the calendar year.
The Atlanta-based carrier posted a net loss of $12.4 billion in 2020 amidst the coronavirus pandemic-induced decline in travel.  The airline also reported a $755 million net loss in the fourth quarter compared with a $1.1 billion profit in the same period in 2019.

Boeing Continues to Trail Airbus in New Orders and Deliveries Going into 2021

Boeing announced orders and deliveries for the fourth quarter of 2020.

United Airlines said in a recent Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it expects fourth-quarter revenue to be down 70% compared to the same period in 2019 amidst the coronavirus pandemic-induced downturn in travel.

Air Canada announced financial results for third quarter of 2020.
The Montreal-based carrier said that revenue in the period had plunged 86% to 757 million Canadian dollars ($584 million), a drop of $4.77 billion.

The world’s largest hotel operator posted a $100 million profit for the period on revenue of $252 million after posting its second-largest quarterly loss in second quarter amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Deutsche Lufthansa announced financial results for the third quarter of 2020.
The Cologne-based company, which also owns Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Swiss International Airlines, reported third quarter revenue of €2.66 billion ($3.14 billion), down 74% from €10.12 billion in the same period in 2019.
