Cathay Pacific Begins Newark-Hong Kong Service

Cathay Pacific announced the launch of new daily service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Hong Kong International Airport.  The service operates using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Flights from Newark depart at 1:10 a.m. and arrive in Hong Kong at 6:00 a.m. the following day.  Flights from Hong Kong to Newark depart at 6:20 p.m. and arrive at 9:00 p.m. the same day.

United Gets Tentative Approval for San Francisco-Haneda Route

On Friday, the U.S. Department of Transportation gave tentative approval to United Airlines’ application to serve Tokyo’s downtown Haneda Airport from San Francisco, California. The decision followed a proceeding to determine the status of the new route following American Airlines’ decision to end its New York-Haneda service.

Hilton Worldwide to Reflag Munich Airport Hotel

Hilton Worldwide announced on Friday an agreement with a subsidiary of Munich Airport to take over management of what is currently the Kempinski Munich Airport Hotel.  The 389-room hotel has a direct link to the main terminal building and will undergo significant renovations, and in 2017, construction to add an additional 160 rooms as well as meeting and event space will begin.
