Lyft Tells Some Customers Their Names Are Offensive Content

Ride-hailing service Lyft is telling some of its customers that their names are offensive content and in violation of its community guidelines.
Customers with names that included Candice Poon, Cara Dick, and Mike Finger were told to change their user names by December 21 or be banned from Lyft. Others who received the notice included customers Nicole Cumming, Cara Dick, and Dick DeBartolo.

InterContinental Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of the InterContinental Xi’an North.

American Airlines Adding Non-Binary Gender Booking Options

American Airlines announced the addition of non-binary gender options that can be used when booking a flight with a reservations agent, although the option is not yet available on its websites.
Air travelers can specify “U” for “undisclosed” and “X” for “unspecified,” provided it corresponds with what is indicated on a passport or other identification used for the flight.

United Airlines announced plans to offer non-stop flights from San Francisco to Dublin starting next spring.
When flights start on June 5, 2020, United will be the only U.S. carrier offering non-stop flights to the Emerald Isle from the West Coast.

Hilton Honors announced its next promotion, dubbed Points Unlimited, will go into effect next month.
The promotion will run from January 6 through May 3, 2020.
Members of the Hilton Honors guest-loyalty program who register for the program will get 2,000 bonus points for every stay and a 10,000-point bonus after ten nights.
