Toshiba intros Excite 10 LE Tablet

Toshiba announced that the Excite 10 LE tablet would be available on March 6, 2012.  The new 10.1″ tablet is 7.7 mm thick and weighs 535 grams.  Features include Android 3.2, Gorilla Glass display, 1280 x 800 resolution, micro USB and HDMI ports, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, and a two megapixel front and five megapixel rear HD camera.  The tablet also records 1080p video.

The tablet is, for now at least, the thinnest and lightest tablet in the 10″ size.  Previously announced as the Excite X10, the tablet will run Android 3.2 (Gingerbread), with a planned upgrade to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

The Excite 10 LE has a 1.2 GHz Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 multicore processor and up to eight hours of battery life.
