American Express announced the opening of a new Escape Lounge, The Centurion Studio Partner at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport earlier this week.

The 5,000-square-foot (465-square-meter) lounge is located in Terminal 3 and the décor features locally-sourced artisan materials, including original artwork from five South Florida artists.

The lounge will offer several different sections including a VIP area, a conference room, and shower suites.

Travelers will have available a menu designed by Chef Laurent Tourondel of the restaurant Dune by LT.  Dishes include French Toast Royal topped with pineapple config, milk crumble, rum raisin ice cream, and what American Express termed a “Mediterranean twist” on a chopped salad.

The lounge will offer guests a variety of beverage options including some that are locally sourced.  The drink selection will include wine, beer, spirits, and coffee from Calusa Coffee Roasters, which is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale.

Escape Lounges in the United States were rebranded as Centurion Studios in July 2021.
