Southwest Airlines Announces Multiple Executive Appointments

Southwest Airlines announced multiple executive appointments and promotions on Wednesday.

Brendan Conlon, who served as senior director of labor relations, was appointed to the position of vice president of crew scheduling.

Meanwhile,  Cole McGuire, who until recently served as senior director of performance and projects, was appointed to vice president of ground operations support.

Mr. Conlon joined the airline in 2000 in the systems department.  In 2006 he became director of crew planning and scheduling and has held various managerial positions since then.   He attended Athlone Regional Technical College in Shannon, Ireland and received a foundational certificate in accounting.

He attended the University of Texas at Dallas, and received both a bachelor of science and master of science in accounting and information systems there.

Mr. McGuire joined Southwest as a staff auditor in 2007 and remained at the airline until 2012, when he became chief operating officer at Paxus Services, a funeral home operator.   In 2014, he rejoined the airline as a senior manager for financial planning.   He holds a B.S and M.S. of Accounting & Information Systems at The University of Texas at Dallas.
