Southwest Airlines Announces Multiple Executive Appointments and Promotions

Southwest Airlines announced multiple executive appointments and promotions on Wednesday.

Christa Lucas, who served as senior vice president at the National Business Aviation Association, was appointed to the position of vice president of governmental affairs.

Phil Gouel, the airline’s senior director of corporate strategy, was promoted to the position of vice president for vacation packages.

Lindsey Lang, a human resources senior director at the carrier, was promoted to the position of vice president, people.

Meanwhile, Bobby Loeb, a senior director for training at Southwest, was promoted to the position of vice president of SWAU, or Southwest Airlines University, the company’s training facility.

Finally, Kristi Owens, also a senior director for training at the airline, has been promoted to the position of vice president of talent and leadership development.
